Kong Teck/Gong De 功德

Kong Teck/Gong De (功德) is a Taoist or Buddhist ritual performed to honor ancestors and help guide their spirits toward peace or a more favorable reincarnation. This is done by accumulating merits through offerings, prayers, and rituals. Traditionally, it is observed on the 49th day, 100th day, 1st year, and/or 3rd year following the funeral.
